 The Cowboy 8020 is a 20-inch stationary-blade leather splitter designed to level or split vegetable-tanned leathers ranging from 4 oz. up to 15/16 oz. Using precise, variable adjustments, you can first level your leather and then split it down to almost any desired weight—even down to lightweight lining leathers—often in just a single pass. The machine is powerful enough to split heavy vegetable-tanned leather of any length up to 20 inches wide.Engineered for versatility, the 8020 can be operated manually or powered by the included high-torque electronic servo motor system. Each complete machine comes fully equipped with our exclusive HVP-series reversible electronic servo motor and stand.The razor-sharp knife blade remains stationary as the leather feeds over it, uniformly splitting your hides or shaving down any high spots. This equipment feeds at a controlled, slow pace to ensure excellent accuracy.
